Nesbitt graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with certifications in Business, Physical Education & Health from Central Missouri State University.
Ryan Nesbitt played football at Central Missouri State University, under Coach Willie Fritz from 2007 to 2008. His coaching career began as an assistant at Lafayette County High School before additional stops at Bowling Green High School and Hickman High School. Nesbitt became the head football coach at Troy Buchanan High School in 2014. He led the Trojans to their first winning season since 1992 in 2018. In 2021 he led the Trojans to their 2nd district championship in school history and first trip to the Class 6 state semi-finals. Nesbitt left as the Trojans All-Time winningest coach in school history. In 2023, Nesbitt became the head coach of the Jackson Indians. During his tenure at Jackson, he has won three district & conference championships and guided the Indians to the state quarterfinals or better in each of his three seasons.
Nesbitt has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at all levels of college football.
A native of Columbia, Missouri, Nesbitt and his wife Kara have three daughters Reese (10), Kendall (7), and Kyle (4).
